We'll Root, We'll Root For The Cubbies, If They Don"t Win.....

I just love Chicago. I would never lived there but I love being in Chicago in the Spring/Summer/Fall. This time I was there for my Cousins bachelor party. My brother and some of his friends took me to a Cubs game. They were playing the Boston RedSox (whom I hate....because secretly Yankees are my 2nd favorite team). Wrigley field is the most awesome ball park in America. The 7th inning stretch is something you only can truly enjoy in person. Plus the Cubs beat the crap out of the RedSox.

What can I say about the food in Chicago. You have never had a polish until you had one in Chicago or Chicago style pizza. I could go on and on about the food. They say New York never sleeps, but Chicago is the same.

Food: Gino's East (best pizza in the world), Chicago Style Polish, french fries, homerun inn pizza, taste of Chicago (best shrimp)
Drinks: Oh course Budweiser (official beer of the Cubs)

Cabo Wabo

Been around the world and yah yah yah....well we know how the song goes; but I had never been south of the border. When Shawnna invited me there for her birthday, I jumped at the channce. Cabo San Lucas is a very pretty vacation town. Our hotel was nice. Went on a time share presentation to get some free tickets to a couple of cruises and dinner. The food in Cabo was pretty good and the drinks were good also. Can not beat some good Tequila. If you like Lobster, Cabo is the place to be. You can get a nice lobster meal for about $10 or less.

Site seeing in Cabo was really nice. Not really much to see but the beach and the resort areas, but town is very pretty. Really enjoyed spending Shawnna's birthday with her in Cabo.

Tidbit about Cabo

When you are out dining, most of the eateries and open (no walls). So you get a lot of streets vendors coming in to sale you flowers, chicklets, and all sorts of stuff. You understand that they are very poor, but it gets bothersome after awhile.

Food: Lobster, Tacos, Burritos
Drinks: Cerveza (beer) Corona, Tequila

Downunder in Australia

This post is about 4 years old, but I decided to write about all of my adventures. Went to Australia about 4 years ago. First went to Caines for about a week. While in Caines, I went white water rafting (that's me falling out of the boat), went to the rainforest, held and took a picture with a Kaola bear, and went scuba diving at the great barrier reef. Caines was very nice.

Then went down to Sydney. Sydney was very nice. Did a lot of site seeing there. Saw the Sydney Opera House, took sunset cruise around habour, wine tasting in the blue mountains, and some general touring around Sydney. Got into some other stuff, but that is not going to be committed to a blog....LOL The people in Australia were really nice and friendly and everyone loved my accent.

Australia is not known for their cuisine. Although the food was not bad, it wasn't spectular. I did try some kangeroo over there and it was ok. They do love their Mango and I had the best Mango smoothie while I was there. I would definitely recommend Australia.

Tidbit about Australia and Kangeroos
Kangeroo is Abrigines means I dont understand what you are saying. When australia was first discovered, Captian Cook saw the hopping animals and ask what were their name. The people said to him, "Kangeroo". What they were really saying is "that I have no ideal what you asking me".
